The Problem
Alchemy Sports Performance and Rehabilitation came to us as a single-provider, cash-based physical therapy clinic in Roanoke, VA, with clear growth ambitions: build enough new patient volume to support hiring additional staff, expand their range of treatable sports injuries online, and establish a stronger overall presence in a competitive local market. As a cash-based practice operating outside the traditional insurance model, Alchemy needed to reach a specific audience actively searching for that type of care, a positioning challenge most of their insurance-based competitors in Roanoke don’t have to navigate. With no prior SEO foundation, the clinic was working with real growth potential that had yet to be unlocked. Over the course of our engagement, that’s exactly what we set out to change, and as the results in this case study show, organic search became a meaningful driver of new patient growth for Alchemy.
The Solution
Over the past year, we delivered a full SEO setup for Alchemy’s existing site, including sitewide meta titles and descriptions, since the site was built before our engagement began. We created a new FAQ page that now ranks in the top position for “cash-based physical therapy Roanoke,” along with new individual pages covering the sports injuries Alchemy treats, an effort that continues today as the clinic expands its specialties. We also separated the original combined contact and booking page into two dedicated pages, one for business contact information and one built specifically for scheduling consultations. How We Got There
